Rosacea Cure?
A business contact was telling me today about something that some positive effect on her rosacea (that she has been treating for 25+ years). No, it wasn't the fractal laser treatment that so many dermatologists recommend. No, it wasn't the antibiotic treatment that doctors often think will help but have so many side effects that it isn't worthwhile. No, it's not the topical antibiotic gel that is commonly used, or the other over the counter non-prescription products available.
The product that has some positive effect on her rosacea was Nerium, a new serum developed from the oleander plant. Apparently it didn't do much for the aging skin and wrinkles but did have a calming effect on the blush and redness.
Since the medical community doesn't agree on what causes rosacea, it's hard to find a cure. But I have found significant relief from my rosacea with Rodan + Fields "Soothe" regimen. My rosacea is cleared up to the point that people don't know I have rosacea - how cool is that!

Regularity is the key
Great skin can happen overnight, with a serum that really works for your skin and issues while you sleep. But the biggest gains happen over time using a consistent regimen of cleansing, toning, moisturizing, and preventing future damage with appropriate sunscreen.
Why is all of this important? It's important because each element of the process plays a slightly different chemical role in the support of existing cells and the replenishment of new cells. The skin is our largest organ in our body, so we need to treat it well. And also support it by drinking enough water and getting enough sleep so that resources are replenished to the skin.
I say love the skin you are in - don't hit it with a poison or cut it up and reshape it artificially with plastic surgery or other procedures. Treat it well and the results will show up daily.

Spring forward ?
I know I'm not the only one struggling with the time change to daylight savings time...
but here's a video from the doctors about the impact on our skin.
"Beauty sleep" is no myth:

Sunscreen every day
Is it cloudy and cold where you are? Remember the sunscreen. Is it raining in your neighborhood? Remember the sunscreen.
All of us baby boomers grew up tanning, and taking steps to make the tanning quicker by using things that were awful for our skin. Especially now, as the effects of all of that early tanning come out as our skin ages.
But using sunscreen ALL of the time, regardless of the weather or time of the year, is critical for us boomers.
SPF 30 is enough for most of us. And a sunscreen that doesn't cause other issues like breakouts or irritation is also essential. I've got the perfect solution for this and other skin issues.

I also had the wrong idea about soft
I had thought that my lips were as soft as they always had been - didn't think I had a problem there. But a new lip serum product improved the softness and texture of my older lips IN ONE APPLICATION. I've seen a lot of commercials lately saying that women don't want to wait for skin care results these days. And I'm no different than a lot of them... but I was amazed at the immediate improvement here.
If you want this kind of result for your baby boomer skin issues, drop an email to debandonly@comcast.net and I'll share info with you.
